Leaving Tomorrow to Montreal
Hi , I am from Florida and I am leaving tomorrow to Montreal on a business/pleasure trip for 4 days. My question is regarding the clothes... do you think I need to take some turtleneck sweaters or will a leather jacket be enough for the evenings?
Thanks so much! |
I don't think you will need a turtleneck or a jacket. It has been really hot there. I would just take a sweater for evenings. How long will you be there?
|
Thanks. I will be there until Sunday.
|
hahaha - typical florida.
its been 35 degrees in MTL for the last month = 95 Fahrenheit |
JMWF: Why so rude? She asked a simple question.

i didn't mean it maliciously, apologise if it came off like that
was more laughing at the perception of us Canadian's (ie: igloo's, parka's, etc...) by those in the southern states |
Well, here in Calgary we've had cold rain for the past 3 days and I am indeed wearing a turtleneck sweater as I type this. :)
I don't know if Montreal has the same tendency of Calgary for wide variations in weather regardless of time of year, but it's always a good idea to be prepared for variations in weather when travelling. |
A jacket or sweater at night maybe, but turtlenecks no.
|
Thanks for the input. I did take a light sweater for the evenings which worked out perfect. I had a great time in Montréal and the Rogers Cup tournament was fantastic!
|
We were up in Montreal for the weekend for the Rogers Cup, too. We saw the Federer v.Stepanek semi-final in person but the Nadal v. Djokovic semi-final and the exciting final only on TV.
for anyone who is a tennis fan the Rogers Cup is a great tournament to see. The stadium is in Parc Jarry. This year as an added benefit there was a festival in Little Italy along St. Laurent and Dante (very nearby), too. |
As a local, august is my favorite month to enjoy the city, and the tennis is part of that.
Glad you all enjoyed your weekend !!! |
