Leaving in 3 weeks for Jasper, could use some help.Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge?

Going June 1 to Jasper have not booked hotel yet.
Only one I know about that is nice is the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. It is however, very expensive, and I cannot get any deal there.

If we do decide to stay there, would you suggest that I stay in the main hotel or stay in a cabin?

Would you know of another hotel that is not quite as expensive but nice?

I am joining my husband on a business trip to Calgary and he is taking an extra 4 days.

We will stay 2 days in Banff,(at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel where we were able to secure a very good deal) and 2 in Jasper.
Thanks for your help... it is always much appreciated!

If you like cabins then try Beckers. They are very nice.

Also check out Alpine Village (have stayed there five times and rate it highly)

I would have to say that the cabins at the JPL are the way to go. The Jasper Park lodge is an experience in itself and I feel well worth the money.

If it is just you and your hubby get a Beauvert suite room. The face the lake and have either a balcony or walk out patio. I used to go with my hubby on business and used to put my son n the stroller and sit by a tree with my book.

One of my favorite places to be.
