Laurel Point & Family?

Victoria is one of our stops in our BC trip. Family of 4 w/ 2 kids under 10. We want to stay at a 4 star. Laurel Point, Empress or Delta Ocean Point? other?

I would try for Laurel Point, Ocean Pointe, then the Empress in that order.

I have stayed at both the Laurel Point and the Delta Ocean Point but not at the Empress (too expensive for small, older rooms). Both are very, very nice. Also, check out the Royal Scot.

Stayed at the Hotel Grand Pacific over Memorial weekend. It was a better deal and just as well located (IMO better located than the Ocean Pointe). Very nice hotel with large and small pools for kids. We walked around/through the Empress, I don't think it's worth the hype, and it's just around the corner from the Grand Pacific on the other side of the Government building.
Thanks for the tip on the Royal Scot! I booked a corner suite at a great rate -- did better over the phone than on the internet. Thanks again for the advice.

Carol,
If there is a kitchen, you can get groceries just a few blocks back on Menzies St.

Glad it worked out for you at The Royal Scot. My daughter and son-in-law stayed there last summer after hiking the West Coast Trail and just loved it.
