Also - Le Commensal. This is a vegeterian cafeteria, but don't let that turn you off. They offer an mind boggling selection of pastas, Indian food, mexican food, salads, fruit, etc, and very yummy desserts. There is uaually an uncrowded corner where the kids can spread out and relax, and the environment is upscale modern. There are 2 on St. Denis, and one on St. Catherine near McGill, which is the biggest.

The Nickel's chain of 50's style restaurants is kid friendly, and the food's not bad either.

BAK

If you would be willing to leave the downtown core I would recommend Le Biftheque.
