Just so someone says it....
....so sorry about the 4 lost in Afghanistan. And we are grateful that you are over there with us. Too few Americans know or acknowledge that other countries have sent their young people, too, into danger.

Thank you.

Thanks neighbour.
|
Thank you.

Very thoughtful.
|
Thank you. It is appreciated.

those young men were posted at our Edmonton Garrison. Thank you for your caring thoughts.
ja

Regards from another US reader who appreciates our true allies in Canada. I am a New Yorker who remembers how comforting it was to hear your kind words last September, and am just sorry it took someone so long to mention it here. Thank you Lower 48 for reminding me too!
|
Thanks so much. One of the men was from Toronto (where I live). It's very sad for everyone.
|
Hope your government well compensates the families in mourning. Thanks.
|
From Pennsylvania USA, our thanks and condolences. Also, you should know that had the 9/11 attack been on Canada instead of the US, we would have done the same for you.

Thanks again, and all the best to our Canadian neighbors (maybe some day you'll convince us to spell it with a "u."

I have sent a note of condolence to the Edmonton base, but I would like to say here to all of you how heartbroken I and my family are over your loss.
We were in Montreal right after September 11th and we were so touched by the kindness shown to us, the small flags that the police and firemen wore, the genuine care that was shown.
If only all of our loved ones could come back home to us, safe and alive.
I am sorry for your loss and I hope this is over soon.
CDF
As a Canadian, I would just like to express my thanks to the Americans who have been so kind in their condolences. May God bless Canada, America and all of their allies to make the world safe for freedom and democracy.
|
I too am devistated about the tragic loss of life for the young Canadians. To their families, friends, and fellow countrymen and countrywomen;we are grieving for them as well.

Geneva, Illinois
USA
2 things which would assuage Canadian's grief

#1-Hang the murdering sonofabitch pilot who dropped the bomb.

#2-Pay Blood Money and LOTS of it to each family.

Today's Globe and Mail had a poll in which 85% of Canadians want Blood Money-'Compensation' is a nicer term but that's Blood Money is what it's really called.
|
Our deepest sympathy to the families and friends of those killed by friendly fire. It is not said enough how lucky we americans are to have Canada as our neighbor and most importantly, our ally.
|
I don't think that Carlz sentiment is the majority in Canada. It was a foolish mistake. Not any reason to execute this guy. Maybe just have him discharged from service.
|
so if all you Americans are so upset for us why did the fans at the Toronto raptor basketball game in Detroit the other night boo when our flag was raised and our national anthem sung. Disgusting behaviour! You should! remember who your friends are and treat them as such.
Shame!

you can not judge the way people in a city/country feel by the way people at a ball game behave.
|
whats the point of this arguing. The sporting events have nothing to do with the event in question. Some Canadians may be upset with Americans as some Americans are upset with Canadians. Who cares? We are neighbors, friends and allies.
|
It always hurts me when idiots make a bad name for all of us. I personally apologize to the Canadians for the childish behavior displayed by those delinquents who bood. If I were at that game, I would have reprimanded anyone around me who bood. I have close friends who are Canadian and I love them all deeply. Thanks for being a kind neighbor.
