Jasper to Sun Peaks
 

Just about everything in place for a trip (driving) from Calgary to Vancouver. We will be staying overnight in Sun Peaks. Is there anywhere particularly pleasant to stop on the way from Jasper? Maybe a snack / lunch break? I hate the idea of stopping somewhere average only to find that another 15 or 20 minutes drive would have brought us to the most wonderful stopping place with brilliant views etc.

One hour west of Jasper is the Mt. Robson Visitor Centre. There are picnic tables, a small interpretive display, washrooms - and of course, the imposing view of Mt. Robson.

When we drive down that highway, we usually stop at the Thunder River rest stop - about 16 km of Blue River, on the west side of the highway.
