Itinerary suggestions? Drive from North of Quebec to Montreal - where to stop?
My husband and I will be in Canada in June and plan 2 nights in Quebec City, 2 nights at la Pinsonniere in La Malbaie, and 3 nights in Montreal. I know the time driving between La Malbaie and Montreal is not that great, but I'd like to stop for a night along the way somewhere. Suggestions? Ile d'Orleans? Somewhere southwest of Quebec City? thanks, Julie

Hi Julie,
While at La Pinsonniere don't forget to ask for a tour of their wine cellar. Will you be eating there both nights?
Ile d'Orleans can be very nice in June. Perhaps your trip will coincide with strawberry season.
Or, on the southshore, about 30km west of Quebec City is www.manoirdetilly.com

JQ - thanks for your post. I will be 6mo. pregnant at the time, so no wine for me but my husband may enjoy the wine tour. I don't know if we'll eat there both nights. Would you recommend it?
Manoir de Tilly does look nice, a great location and a lovely inn. A definite possiblity.
