Is Whistler a must-see?
 

Hi,
If you had 3 full days (end of June) in Vancouver and were a first time visitor, would you try to squeeze in a day trip to Whistler? I love the great outdoors, but don't want to skimp on what's been called one of the best cities in the world either.

It's a gorgeous drive up/back but the resort is overpriced/underwhelming.

For 3 days, i'd stick to Vancouver, however that being said, Whistler is a resort type town, and is really nice.

Thanks everyone. I thought it was probably best to stay in Vancouver, just wanted a bit of reassurance. If the weather is nice, we might try Lynn Canyon if we do want to spend some time out of the city.
