Is the CN Tower worth a visit? What about the restaurant?

Planning a weekend trip to Niagara for the first time and we're thinking about driving up to Toronto to have lunch in the CN Tower Restaurant on Sunday. Is this a worthwhile experience (considering we'll be driving 1.5 hours, I think - to get there). That will be all we really have time to do in Toronto - is this the best pick????

Best pick? Depends on your personality.

But chances are it is a very good pick. You'll at least see most of the city, if only from up high.

It's an excellent restaurant. Expect to pay quite a bit of money, but get a really good meal. Allow lots of time to enjoy.

But... Toronto's really worth more time, and Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake are great places, so what are the chances you'd make a second weekend trip, later, and then be able to spend enough time in both places?

Well I have to say it is an awesome place because that is where my husband proposed to me!

Didn't eat there so can't comment. It is an easy drive between Niagara/Toronto and nice views of the lake along the way on the QEW.

Just spent this past weekend in Niagara Falls. Spent one day at Niagara on the Lake and had Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales Inn (wonderful experience).

IF you arrive AFTER June 10th the new Casino Niagara will be open. We stayed across the street at the Hilton and could check out the construction since part of FALLSVIEW was obstructed.

You can do the highlights of Niagara in 1 day (boat, behind the falls, butterfly, etc...) tacky tourist stuff at night on Clifton Hill, spend a 1/2 day walking around Niagara on the Lake and then drive to Toronto---have dinner at the CN Tower and take the trip to the SKY POD (site of proposal!)

I am fast paced person and tend to cover a lot of ground on my trips so this to me is doable....
