identifying a statue near pier in halifax

Within walking distance of the cruise ship pier in Halifax is a statue of a man walking with a long stride carrying a valise or briefcase. I would like to know more about it but my searches have turned up nothing. I would appreciate any information. Thank you.

Sure it wasn't this one? http://ns1763.ca/hfxrm/sailor-statue.html

It wasn't the sailor. It's within just a few blocks of the statue of Cunnard.

It's at Pier 21, the entry point of many immigrants to Canada and now the Canadian Museum of Immigration.

The statue is entitled "Immigrant Father Heading to Canada"
