Hi, kodi!
Do you mean that you & Murphy will be going just for Christmas day?
Or, do you mean that you want to complete your drive within one day in which case, you will need a dog friendly place to stay over the Christmas holidays?

HI Ocean. Yes I will need a hotel/motel that is dog friendly.
We will perhaps leave here on the 23 or 24th and come home on the 26 or 27th. I'm not sure yet, but it won't just be a day trip on Christmas day.

How about a Christmas trip to Muskoka? I am very familiar with the area around Huntsville/Algonquin Park. It's absolutely beautiful during Christmas!

I would start with a place like Nor Loch Lodge (1-800-565-2231)located on Lake of Bays in Dwight, about 15 minutes from Huntsville. While Nor Loch is not "dog friendly", they manage some very nice timeshares located next door which are "dog friendly". I think they have a 3 night minimum which works for you. It may be too early to book for Christmas but if you keep in touch with them, they can give you more info.

Or, go to www.muskokanorth.com to look for "pet friendly" places.

Kodi,
Cedar Grove allows pets. It looks very nice. It's on Peninsula Lake I think.

If you go to that "north muskoka" site don't use the info@pc email that they give b/c it does not work!

Ocean, I had not thought of a resort type place. I guess I was thinking something like Frankenmuth in Michigan, but I'm liking your idea more and more.

I don't know Huntsville area very well. so I will be back to answer questions. I have stayed in the area and have camped in Algonquin, and know how beautiful it is.
