how many days in banff?
 

we are planning a june trip to banff area. we went 2 years ago. stayed 3 nights in banff so we had 2 full days. we went to lake louise one day, and to another glacier lake the other day. the area is so beautiful we decided to go back. what are the main places to go where we can return to banff at night? should we go up to jasper? are there recommended places to go in and around the town of banff itself? we like short hikes,great scenery,car rides,pretty towns.

I can't understand why you would ask when you have already been there, did you not go to the information centre? I had five days there and found there were many things of interest in Banff as well as Lake Louise and the glacier trip. I hiked around a small lake in the town and saw the beavers, something that was a real thrill for a kiwi. I also walked along the Bow river and visited the Banff hotel for it's history. Put up a search on google. I would just arrive and go straight to the information centre, it is excellent.
