hotels in toronto can not decide
 

Looking at Cambridge suites or possibly Inter continental. Any suggestions or any other good hotel in Toronto?

Didn't stay at either, but stayed at the Hilton during Memorial Day Weekend. Enjoy the hotel,location and its new restaurant, The Tundra.

Cambridge Suites is in the middle of the business district, and the area is quiet and dull at night, althoughyou are only a ten minute walk form good restaurants (and some are even closer) <BR>Intercontinental is on the edge of a vibrant, high-rent, expensive shopping neighborhood (and residential area) with more stores, more restaurants, etc. <BR>For a holiday, I'd pick the Intercontinental. <BR>BAK

Further to my earlier message, Toronto is full of good hotels. I feel the Park Hyatt is probably overpriced, the Four Seasons is one of the best high-end hotels in the world, the Windsor Arms is the retuyrn of a traditon, and is a small hotel. All these are near each other. <BR>The Hilton is recently renovated; the Westin is a great hotel on the lake, the Royal York is a return to the elegance of yesteryear, the Crowne Plaza is modern and efficient and has excellent service, and on and on. <BR>Tell us more about your interests, and we may narrow the choice a bit. <BR>BAK

I am looking for a nice hotel for the weekend that is centrally located to nightlife and daytime activities. I like the idea of the Westin, but heard it was away from everything but the water. We like the water, but not at the expense of being away from everything else. Considered Four Seasons and may still choose it. Any other advice is welcome.

having been a tour guide and concierge in Toronto, I would say that the Delta Chelsea is probably one of the best hotel locations in Toronto-close to Eaton centre,lots of restaurants,theatres, you can even walk to Yorkville. Don't forget Toronto is a walking city and there are so many places to stay and eat and entertain. But you should make your reservation quickly and remember the hotels fill up in the summer and they are expensive.
