hotel recommendations

I would like to go to Quebec City for my honeymoon in May. Does anyone have hotel recommendations for a romantic and memorable stay? This will be my first visit to Quebec. Thanks.

Lauren - The choice for a memorable stay in Quebec is clearly the Chateau Frontenac. This glorious old lady will put you in the key location to explore the Old Quebec that defines romance. You will have to pinch yourself to realize that this is not Europe as you wander through the shops, outdoor bistros and catch the many street performances near the hotel... live it up and upgrade your room by adding the Honeymoon package... it is a trip you will not forget!

Lauren, I got engaged in Quebec City back in September. It's a beautiful city. If you like b&b's (we love them) I would definitely recommend the one we stayed in: l'oasis de reves (website: oasisdereves.com). The house is gorgeous; just built a few years ago. Stay in the "enchantress" room; it has a whirlpool tub and huge bathroom. The breakfasts are amazing. Be prepared to spend about 1 1/2 hours eating (four courses!) you won't eat again until dinner. This b&b is not in Quebec city but just a short drive away on the island of orleans (we had absolutely no problem getting in and out of the city or finding our way around).
Good Luck!

Lauren,

For our second honeymoon, my husband and I stayed at Hotel Dominion 1912, located in Quebec City, Lower Town.
The property is very chic, romantic and well-located - perfect for a honeymoon!
Congratulations in advance.

I think that the choice is obvious: Chateau Frontenac. It is by far the most luxurious and romantic hotel in the city and is in an excellent location.

Hi Lauren,
My husband and I spent some of our honeymoon in May about 34 years ago. It was wonderful. But be careful, not everything was open for the season at that time of the year then. Do some research about what is available to do at that time of the year. You don't want to spend all your time indoors. Enjoy Quebec City, it is one of most beautiful cities and the most romantic.
