Hotel in Quebec City for Active Seniors

Looking for a reasonably priced hotel (~$200/night) in Quebec City for three nights in July.. Two active seniors arriving by car (need parking) interesting in touring and food, but no late night bar hopping. Assume Upper Town is preferable eh?

Merci d"avance!

You might try the Hotel Clarendon which is substantially bigger than the auberges inside the city walls. Spacious rooms, old-fashioned style but decently kept up, and a couple of blocks from the Hotel Frontenac, the cornerstone of the city. Quebec is unavoidably hilly, a major reason it became one of North America's most formidable fortifications in the first place, but it is walkable at a comfortable place. There is a small funicular on the boardwalk beside the Frontenac to get down to the harbour level.

In 2008 we stayed at the Manoir de l'esplanade just inside the city walls. Guarded parking in the vicinity.Paul
