Hotel in Montreal

Hotel Europeenne - St Hubert Street, near the subway station Berri-Uqam.
Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Is it good or bad? Has anyone stayed there?
Give me your opinion, please. Thanks

There are a row of low budget hotels near the bus station, and I think this is one of them. These hotels are not a bad deal for the price, which is usually about $70 CDN. Centrally located, the neighborhood is ok but not the most charming. We stayed at the Breton, which is right near by, on our first trip to Montreal many years ago. For a few dollars more, you can stay up on Sherbrooke at one of the small hotels such as the Residence du Voyaguer, which is in a much nicer neighborhood.

I am also going to be staying at the Hotel Europeenne - I've heard horrible things, but at this point in time it is almost impossible to get a cheap room anywhere else. I would appreciate if somebody could tell me, or reassure me, that it's not that bad. Or just tell me the truth.
