Honeymoon in Canada?
 

I am going on my honeymoon in late July and was just wondering where to go? I can't decide between the East Coast or the West Coast?????? I am Canadian, so currency exchange, climate etc. are no problem for me!!!!! We want to spend two weeks somewhere and we do not know what to do. Please help!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

Make it easier on us - what likes and dislikes? Have you been to either coast and from where are you departing - flying or driving?

I have never been to either coast. I will be flying from Toronto. <BR><BR>We are both looking for a very scenic, very relaxed honeymoon. We love to hike, and swim in lakes and oceans.<BR><BR>I hope this helps!!!!!

Oh wow! Flip a coin. I think both coasts are totally different. East coast you have four provinces to choose from with very different attractions. Nova Scotia has to offer the Cabot Trail which is totally awesome, relaxing and can be very secluded if you want your privacy. Flying in from TO you will land in Halifax. I would recommend a few days there with sidetrips to Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg. There are several hotels in the downtown area - Prince George, Sheraton and Sheraton Four Points, Weston, and the Haliburton Inn (upscale). The trail will afford you lots of different types of accommodations - you should do at least one night at the Keltic. Lots of hiking trails and you should do a whale watching tour out of Pleasant Bay. You might want to spend a night at the Normaway Inn in the Margaree. There are also many other spots in Nova Scotia to explore - Pictou County which lies half way between Halifax and the Canso Causeway has some of the warmest beaches in Nova Scoita. Melmerby is lovely. Lots of spots to stay. Pictou Town has some wonderful spots and a lovely historic waterfront.<BR><BR>Hope some of this info helps. I am with Tanya,that Doers and Dreamers guide is terrific. <BR><BR>But as a Torontonian living currently in Newfoundland, I am going to put in a plug for my adopted home which just happens to be the most beautiful place on the planet, esp. Gros Morne Park and L'Anse aux Meadows. <BR><BR>Did you know there are even spectacular beaches here (Lumsden)?
