Hilton Bonaventure, Delta, or Sheraton for Pool

Hello All - I am taking my family to Montreal early next summer. I want to get a hotel with a terrific pool area for the kids. Although they enjoy museums, dining, sight-seeing, etc, they really really enjoying swimming in the late afternoons. Can anyone with experience let me know which of these hotels is most suitable. Thanks a lot. Kenneth

I stayed at the Hilton Bonaventure and I loved the roof top pool. It felt very resort like. I can't comment on the Sheraton.

Have Fun!
I go to Montreal very often these days for business. Because I'm there a lot, I want a hotel with good fitness facilities. Some of my co-workers raved about the Hilton, so I decided to stay there one week. The pool is very very nice, and for that reason I would recommend it. Since most of the pool is outdoors, it would be lovely in the summer. However, it's winter - what were those people thinking?!! It's definitely too cold to be outside, even if it is a heated pool! The rest of their fitness facilities aren't particularly special, so I've gone back to staying at the Queen Elizabeth (which has a rather ordinary indoor pool, but very good fitness facilities considering it's a hotel).

I've stayed at the Delta before - can't remember the pool being anything special (if I even saw it). No comments on the Sheraton, I've never stayed there.

I'd definitely recommend the Hilton in the summer if you want a nice pool.

Hey Ken. What about the Intercontinental? The pool is a lap pool but the hotel location is so close to all the family activities. It's really nice inside too. I think you should consider that one. Danny

Le Centre Sheraton has a very nice pool that I believe is covered for winter use but has an outdoor deck and open air part for summer use. The Fitness facility is fairly good but not enough machines for when there are a lot of people using it. But if you're looking for 'terrific' I think the rooftop pool in the Bonaventure would probably be best.

I assume you are referring to the hotels on or near Sherbrooke. The Delta's pool is ok, but on the smallish side. The Sheraton's is quite big. I don't know about the Hilton's.

The Delta pool is on the east side of the hotel, and as the day progresses the pool gets into more and more shadow, forcing evryone who wants to be in the sun into a small area at the south west corner.

The Hilton Bonaventure pool is fun because it is both inside and outside.

Can't comment on the Sheraton.

BAK

We stayed at the Sheraton with our kids and they loved the pool. We also loved the location because it was within a few blocks of St. Catherine and everything else we wanted to see. The price for the rooms can vary greatly so check it out on a few sites if you're interested.
