Help! Need Niagra Falls tips for for 11 and 13 year old

I'm planning a two day trip to Niagra Falls in a couple of weeks. We have a 11 and 13 year old with us. Any tips for site seeing and hotels?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Absolutely do the Maid of the Mist!

The very best attractions at Niagara are the Whirlpool JetBoats where you ride into the lower rapids, Maid of the Mist, and Cave of the Winds... those are must-do for the kids... Consider Embassy suites, the Oakes Hotel as great view choices and family friendly hotels... that age group will also love the Clifton Hill museums, shops and carnival atmosphere... theres a Hard Rock, Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe and every other junk restaurant chain for food...sometimes I think Niagara was built for 11 and 13 year olds..... have fun

Spend one day at the falls (Maid of the Mist etc) and one day at Marineland. The kids will love the shows and rides.

You won't have any problem keeping them occupied for two days. As Gary mentions, the Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, and Whirlpool JetBoats will be the hit attractions for them.

Other attractions that they will likely enjoy are: Journey Behind the Falls, Whirlpool Aero Car, Butterfly Conservatory, and White Water Walk.

You can also explore Goat Island and the Three Sister Islands and the Niagara Glen (hike down the side of the gorge) for a bit of natural atmosphere.

Don't shy away from Clifton Hill. The kids will love it - it IS a carnival midway.

Check into getting adventure passes (www.niagaraparks.com) from the Canadian side as there will be a greater discount on admissions if you plan on doing most of the attractions. It is cheaper to do that and buy the Cave of the Winds tickets separately than to buy the U.S. pass and pay the Canadian attractions individually.
