Everything changes with time, but the last time we were up there it was wall-to-wall condos with more under construction. Try the link and see what the local Chamber of Commerce has to say.

We visited by RV several times, which doesn't help answer your question. However, our kids treated us to a weekend at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort (very lush and expensive) so we got some insight into life away from the RV park.
The Resort pretty much anchors one end of the beach...no development further on. The main drag is lined with retail shops and restaurants, although there are some apartments upstairs over the stores. Continuing past the retail core you run into what I recall as an unbroken wall of condos. IOW, if "on the beach" is a priority for you, it will be tough to impossible. Get a block or two away from the beach, however, and my guess is that you will be able to find rentals.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Have you downloaded Google Earth yet? When you do, just type in Harrison Hot Springs and you will get an aerial view showing just how much of the lake shore is built up.

Thanks, Bobmrg, for your responses. We did locate a lodging called "Harrison Hot Springs Bungalow Motel" on Lillooet Ave which lists 12 cabins. Has anyone stayed at this location? Please advise with details.

Glad to hear it. You will love funky HHS. Go to the municipal hot springs...it's more like a hot YMCA swimming pool...and luxuriate while saving many dollars over going to the resort. Cost about $5 Cdn last time we were there.
