Harbor Dinner Cruise in Vancouver

It looks pretty neat. Is it worthwhile, or just a tourist trap?

Personally I have never found those dinner cruises to be the best value anywhere so I would say tourist trap; years ago we did one in Vancouver and it was awful but I can't vouch for the others; I do hate to generalize.

I would ask for restaurant recommendations from others, the only fancy restaurants I've been to in Vancouver are the one in the Wedgewood hotel on Burrard (fantastic) and another one in the park, I can't recall the name, it was in a very pretty location.....

I live in Vancouver and still love to go on a "dinner cruise" every summer. We find them a bit pricey, but you are getting a buffet dinner and a very scenic cruise. Here's a good tip: go to the Vancouver Yellow Pages, at the front there is a section labelled "coupons" - you'll find a 2 for 1 coupon for the dinner cruise that leaves from Granville Island ($60 + TAX, for two) and a coupon for the afternoon harbor tour. Great deal!!!

What is the name of the company that offers this 2 for 1 dinner cruise? Thanks.

Champagne Cruises offers the two for one..just went last Wed. The deal was $74.95 for two. Boat boards at 5:30, leaves Granville Island (by Bridges) at 6ish, returns 8:30 ish, had a small self-serve meal of salads, salmon, chicken, baked potato, pasta. All was good. They have a few boats, this time we were on Burrard Queen, which was a bit rocky (I wasn't bothered by it though). The yellow pages also has a two for one for the harbor cruises, a daytime, no meal cruise.
