Halifax Cambridge Suites
 

I have two rooms booked for a July visit. I read all the reviews before booking. Today I checked TA to see if there were any new reviews and there are,both supremely unflattering. One of the reviews is by a person who posted an almost identical review of another hotel a month earlier, so his opinion is a bit suspect. The other review doesn't have similar obvious fault. Looking for a little reassurance. Has anyone stayed here recently? The concerns about cleanliness really get my attention.

Hi, my parents always insist on staying at Cambridge Suites in Hfx. The location is terrific - right at the base of Citadel Hill and easy walking distance of downtown and the Harbourfront. Having the separate bedroom is nice. The included breakfast is better than the usual continental.

I stayed there years ago and found it fine, not wonderful but fine. They have never raised any concerns about the places cleanliness and Mother is pretty particular on that point.

I stayed at the Cambridge Suites in January of this year. No issues. We had a one-bedroom suite. Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas was staying there at the same time - can't be that bad :) The hotel is a great central location. I would stay there again.
