Free admission to National Parks Canada sites!!
As part of the Canada Strong Pass, the Government of Canada is offering free admission to places operated by Parks Canada from June 20 to September 2, 2025 inclusive. What’s included in free admission From June 20 to September 2, no fees apply for: admission for all visitors to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada lockage at canals administered by Parks Canada on historic waterways. How to get free admissionNo entry pass or ticket is required to visit during the free admission period. Parks Canada staff will continue to welcome visitors at gates and visitor centres. Confederation Bridge & Ferry Tolls Lowered as of August 1st.Effective Aug. 1, the cost of crossing the bridge which connects P.E.I. with New Brunswick will fall to $20 from $50.25. Transport trucks will also pay a flat rate of $20. There's no change in the cost for cyclists, pedestrians, shuttles or motorcycles.Fares for passengers, cars and commercial traffic on ferry services in Eastern Canada that are federally supported will go down by 50 per cent. Confederation Bridge Construction ScheduleConstruction is anticipated to occur over a period of 2 months starting in late April 2026 and completed by the end of June 2026.Work will take place 7 days a week. The work zone, with alternating traffic, will be present, even at nighttime. Through the construction period, the bridge will remain open.
