Gros Morne accommodations
 

I am beginning to feel a bit like John the Baptist, a voice crying in the wilderness, given that my queries aren't generating any responses...but here goes. May I have your recommendations for properties which offer two bedded rooms, a good view, easy access to restaurants and are relatively quiet?

It's been a few years since I've been there but it's pretty quiet everywhere there. We camped at the GM during our stay so can't offer any lodging suggestions.

If you have time and enjoy community theatre, there's a dinner & show production in Cow Head that was hilarious and made for an enjoyable evening.

Topping this at least - hope it generates some more replies for you. We loved NF - have a fab trip.

Hi cmcfong. We spent a week in Gros Morne last year and stayed at Neddy's Harbour Inn. It was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. They have several sizes of rooms, but I am not sure whether any have two beds. There is a restaurant on site; it's excellent. Here's the report:

I just booked flights for another trip this September. Despite my thinking that we'd stay a couple of nights in Woody Point, we decided instead to spend our whole week at the Gros Morne Cabins in Rocky Harbour:

Gros Morne National Park is stunningly beautiful and the hiking is spectacular. We aim to try a few of the trails that we missed last year, plus we plan to climb Gros Morne Mountain again. We are obviously gluttons for punishment; that won't be an easy day.

And elm, your trip report was very helpful. I ended up booking the Sugar Hill Inn. We will leave the area on 9/1, so we'll miss seeing you. If I discover anything worthy of note which you didn't mention in your trip report, I will post it here. Thank you!

The Sugar Hill Inn looks wonderful. I'd completely forgotten about that place, and we drove past it every day on our way towards Neddy's Harbour.

And elm, we are also hikers so if I find one other than those you suggested I will post right away

cmcfong, I have been catching up on some newspapers that accumulated while we were in Japan a couple of months ago. Here's an article about Gros Morne that caught my interest, notwithstanding the certainty that I will never don scuba gear. The rest of his explorations look pretty interesting. The Tablelands hike is on our list for September:
