Grey Cup - Edmonton - Sept. 29th Maybe Calgary after
If the Montreal Als go to the Grey Cup, good chance I will make my way up to Edmonton from the US. Best weekend in Canada !!!! Any central place DT that has good bars and restuarants ? I have seen a tram run before Hockey games on TV but maybe I am mixed up with another city? So is there public transport ? I guess I can always take a taxi.
I think the Oilers play that Sat night but will probably be eating dinner with family and enjoying GC activities. Might go down to Calgary the days afterwards as i think the Flames are playing. I guess there is a train or bus to get from Edmonton to Calgary ? Not from Canada so not sure of VIA routes , but I guess I should look before posting but thought I would post quickly here so don't blast me for not knowing. What else is there to see in late Nov ? Thanks for any help. GO ALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
No train between Calgary and Edmonton but the Red Arrow Bus service is fabulous. However it could be busy the day after the Cup so you might want to reserve.

Thanks !! And I meant to say Nov. 29th instead of Sept. 29th.

"What else is there to see in late Nov ?"
There is snow and cold and more of the same. |
No train between Edmonton and Calgary - VIA runs from Winnipeg to Edmonton and then on to Jasper (in the Rockies) and to Vancouver.
You could always come to Jasper - the ski hill may be open by the end of November - and the Rockies are always beautiful. |
