You might try Cafe Nervosa at 75 Yorkville Ave. Tel: 416-961-4642. Italian, reasonably priced. I have eaten here many times and have always found both the food and the service to be very good.

Bon appetit!

Theatre in the Yorkville area? You sure?

Anyway, you can't beat the Studio Cafe on the second floor of the Four Seasons.

there is a new , very good , Italian restaurant ( Yokville Av, close to Yonge)
"Impiria' ( I think).

Well, I guess you can call it "theatre" - the one showing "Menopause whatever. I thought about the Studio Cafe- have eaten there once before and enjoyed it. thanks

One more suggestion. How about French Cuisine? If so try Jacques Bistro, 126A Cumberland Street, Yorkville (2nd Floor.) It has been there for years but I revisited it recently and I was not disappointed.

I love the Studio Cafe -- it's so light and airy and there's all that beautiful glass. And it's a nice walk from there to the theatre.

BUT my friend who's a restaurant reviewer just reviewed Greg Coulliard's new restaurant, Spice Box and Chutney Bar, in Hazelton Lanes and she loved it. Unfortunately, I can't tell you if it's open for lunch or how pricey it is, but it might be fun to go to something brand new.

Two other suggestions are Jamie Kennedy's in the Gardiner Museum and the Courtyard Cafe in the Windsor Arms.

Have fun -- the weather's supposed to be great tomorrow, a nice day for a walk along Bloor!

Where did you end up going for lunch, horatio? And how was Menopause...? I may be going with some friends and lunch and a matinee sounds good.

I am truly afraid to say...my girlfriend had to find someone else to go with as I took sick on Friday night...could not stop coughing and had a fever..better now, but I was not a happy camper..beautiful weather for strolling Bloor for sure. Plan to take another friend sometime soon and will, I say will, go to lunch and "theatre"!

Oh, and I was too embarassed on Sat. morning to admit that I was too sick to go..afterall you were all so helpful..I will ask my girlfriend where she ended up going for lunch!

Oh, too bad! Well, I'm glad you're feeling better now, anyway.
