Yes Crawford Lake is very good. Head up Guelph Line in Burlington.
It is part of the long Bruce Trail that goes for many miles. Check out www.brucetrail.org
The Toronto Bruce Trail Club is the section you'd be most interested in. Hilton Falls is also very good and on past the bridge over Dufferin Quarry. At this point the trail skirts the edge of the escarpment and the views are beautiful. Also in this area, Kelso and also Rattlesnake POint. And also Hilton Falls.
YOu could also do a search for Halton Region Conservation area for more info on this area.
Have fun.
