Good family Hotel in Vancouver

Next July 2003 we (2 adults, 3 teenagers, 1 child) will be spending time in Vancouver. Any suggestions as to reasonable hotels to use would be welcome.

Many thanks

I would suggest the Rosedale on Robson. It is in a great location, close to Stanley Park, lots of restaurants, and a decent walk to Granville Island. They have 2 bedroom suites for probably around 280CAD, which is 200US. This would solve the problem of getting two separate rooms. Check www.rosedaleonrobson.com. I've stayed in the 1 bedroom suite before, very nice. If not here, try Sunset Inn and Suites for large 1 bedroom suites.

I stayed at the Rosedale two weeks ago on a visit from the UK. We had 2 adults, a 6 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old.

The Rosedale has 2 double beds and a sofa bed in the standard rooms. You also get a kitchen area, nice bathroom and a lounge area. They also do 2 bedroom suites which have childrens bunkbeds in one of the rooms.

The walk to Stanley park takes about half an hour. Pacific Mall is about 10 min walk. BC place is close by. There is a place that sells 2 slices of picca and a coke for about $2 around the corner (which our kids loved) and Rosies in the hotel provide decent meals for adults.

We stayed at Rosellen Suites in August. We are a family of Mum and Dad and two daughters aged 19 and 15.We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which also had bathroom kitchen and living area with 2 big sofas. The master bedroom had plenty of room for a put-you-up bed.The only possible problem was that the bed in the second bedroom was only a three-quarter size and initially we were fighting over the kingsize.!Please bear in mind though that we had been travelling for about 20 hours and we don't normally behave like that!
The location was super-within a stone's throw of Stanley Park and about 5 mins walk to many restaurants. We didn't use our car whilst there but walked or caught buses which were really convenient.

Besides the Rosellen Suites which gets good ratings for family stays, some others you may want to look into are
<Quality Hotel Downtown/The Inn at False Creek. Family suites are spacious...full kitchen facilites. The Westin Bayshore is also a great family hotel. Walk to Stanley Park, acquarium, Nature House.
