Toque is at the top of my list after years of going there.

Love their site!

toque is certainly an excellent choice; it' s hip in a reserved way.....

Hip and trendy to me would be Cavalli, not typically french but it's more of a continental italian, varied menu, superb food; decor and atmosphere wise, it is hippest and trendiest that montreal has..... You could talk to the owner in advance and arrange a tasting menu.....

Thanks for all the suggestions.Have gone ahead and made reservations at Cube which is in St Pauls Hotel. It's got some good reviews. My other option was toque but apparently the service is bad.Since ia m taking clients...don't want to take a chance.
Has anybody been at Cube?

I have been to Toque maybe 7 times and the service was always perfect! I would be sad to hear that it has gone downhill since I was there last August.

Try putting Cube into the search box here, I remember some people discussing it a long time ago.
Good luck and enjoy!
