From SeaTac to Vancouver..best way
My husband and I will be traveling into SeaTac airport and are wondering what is the most economical way to get to the rail station in Vancouver. Any suggestions? thanks.

The Quick Coach bus is one option that goes directly from Seatac to Vancouver. You might want to compare fares on that to the Amtrak fare from Seattle to Vancouver; you can take the light rail from Seatac to close to the Seattle train station for $2.50. The train goes 2x a day currently and that's scheduled to continue at least through the Olympics; when are you traveling?

We are travelling standby on Sunday, I expect it will be 9PM or so when we get to SeaTac. So we may want to spend the night near the AP in Seattle and then make the trip on Monday to Vancouver.

Yes, that sounds like a plan since you can't be sure when you'll get in since you're traveling standby.
There's a 7:40 AM train to Vancouver if you decide to take the train. |
Just to add that the 7:40am and 6:50pm departures are on the train; the other 4 are buses - if this makes a difference to you. Both take anywhere from a little over 3 to just under 4 hrs.
