French Canada question

Hello-
Trying to decide between 2 different cruises early October. One sails to Quebec City then to Montreal. Have already been to both. The 2nd cruise only goes as far as QC, but stops at Gaspesie, then on the Saguenay River to La Baie. Which would you choose? I'm thinking the views at Gaspesie would be incredible. We would sail by it on cruise #1, but not stop. What is La Baie like? The views on the Saguenay River, are they nice? The views between QC and Montreal? THANK YOU!!!!

I think you must be meaning going up the Saguenay River at Taddousac to see the fiords. I've only taken a day cruise up the river but it was beautiful in July. I would choose cruise #2. I've only driven, not sailed, between Montreal and Quebec City and it is not that interesting while east of Quebec City is.

Thanks for your reply Lizzy. Yes, I guess that's what we would be doing, going up the Sag. River at Taddousac, since we stop at La Baie. Thank you so much, I think cruise #2 is what we will choose!!!

Have fun! I'm not sure if this is whale watching season but I saw a few right at the mouth of the river and we sailed near them in a zodiac. Let us know how the cruise goes.

We went to Tadoussac last year in early Sept. expressly to see whales, and saw lots of them, and I believe you should see some in early October.

We drove (not cruised)up the Sanguenay as far as Chicoutimi, and it was not all that, although it would probably be a lot more scenic cruising the fjord than driving along it.
