This will be our first trip to Montreal,Quebec, any plays or musicals we should see in the evening, and are they close to the Hotel Le Chateau Frontenac? Or will we need to go by cab?

We will spend a week end in Quebec, and a few days in Montreal. Will I need a wool coat or will a fur jacket do?How cold is it there usually at the end of Oct.I read sneakers mark you as a real "tourist", is this true?

Anna - You can check the weather forecast for the area at the Environment Canada web site, www.weatheroffice.com. If you are going in October, I don't imagine you will need a heavy coat because it is still fall. As for the "sneakers", I would suggest that you only wear what you are comfortable in and what is appropriate for the amount of walking that you plan to do. Being labelled a tourist is not necessarily a bad thing, when you are one. Enjoy the trip!
