Ferry Information

We will be staying in Delta,B.C. and I am confused about the ferry schedule to Victoria??Is it the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal we will use? Our plans are to travel there in the a.m. on May 22 and then ferry back to Seattle on the 24th. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay to get to Victoria. Passenger only ferries run from Victoria harbour to Seattle.

Then what ferry would you suggest we take from Victoria heading down to the U.S.? (We will have our car)

You'll need to take the same ferry from Swartz Bay back to Tsawwassen and then drive back to Seattle. That's a pretty long journey in one day. Try to get ferry reservations (www.bcferries.com)if you can so you will be guaranteed a spot on the ferry and not be stuck at the terminal for hours. It's 90 minutes on the ferry and then 2.5hrs+border wait.

You can also take the Coho ferry from Victoria's downtown harbour to Port Angeles. If so, you might want to try to reserve that now.

Or, there is the less frequent Washington State ferry from Sidney to Anacortes.

I meant to add that the tulip displays at Butchart Gardens are quite lovely right now. We were there just a few days ago.
