Fashions BY Carlos in Toronto???
Years ago we purchased men's clothing at Fashions by Carlos a small men's shop on St. Patrick Street in Toronto. We heard that carlos retired but the shop was taken over by a Korean man, Mr.Lee, who had the store next door.
Can any Torontonians confirm this? If it's still there, are the quality and prices still as good? We're heading to TO tomorrow but don't want to walk out of our way in this heat if we don't need to. Thanks Fodorites. |

Was this in the Village by the Grande, a giant apartment complex with stores on the main floor, which you got to by walking through interior outdoor and indoor courtyards?
If so, most of these stores are gone, and the coutryards are mostly now restricted to residents. The ground level stores are now homes. BAK |
Village by the Grange, not Grande

To BAK: Thanks, yes but it's on St.Patrick Street nearby. And I found out by googling that carlos retired and the business was going to be taken over by the Korean fellow who had the convenience store next door. Hubby and I were in TO on Monday and walked over but the whole space is now a mini-mart.
Carlos is one of those guys you can never replace and we're sorry we didn't get a chance to wish he and Margaret a happy retirement. |
