Yes, Olympic Park is worth a visit! There was a luge/bobsled (can't remember which) simulation which was great.. I'm sure it wasn't anywhere near the real thing, but it was fun nonetheless!

May be you're interested in taking in a hockey game at the Saddledome?

Enjoy ur trip!
Type in Calgary Motel Village in Yahoo to get a decent group of hotels all listed together. It is right beside the C-train LRT (mass transit train) and across the street from McMahon stadium, where the Calgary Stampeders play (august being one of the months they play in, as there is no hockey in summer at the saddledome). Day trips to Waterton, Banff or Drumheller (Dinosaur excavation site & museum) will keep you busy, as well as Calaway Park (mini-disneyland) west of Calgary on the way to Banff (about 15 minutes fron Motel Village). Visit Chinook Mall for large variety of shopping, movies, etc. (accessible by c-train). Overnight stay and one-day trip (3 hours each way) to West Edmonton Mall would probably something the kids would love.

Good luck and have fun!
