Haven't stayed at the Fallsview Casino hotel, although friends have (but don't recall them mentioning anything special about the rooms). It can be pricey, but there are occasional deals during off-times.
Alternatives include the strip of high rise hotels adjacent to the Fallsview Casino complex. Most of these are built on the same bluff overlooking the Horseshoe Falls, and would have rooms with similar Falls views (as well as less expensive "city" views). If you google "fallsview niagara hotels" and "niagara falls hotel map" you should get lots of info.

I've stayed at the Fallsview Casino Hotel and it was nice but nothing really special. I liked being in the same hotel as the casino, restaurants, nightclub, etc., though. Ask for a room at the top of the falls and you'll have a nice view.
You don't say what your budget is but my friend just booked a two-night stay at the Marriott Fallsview. It's a special deal -- two nights for (I think) $279 with breakfasts and vouchers for dinner. A good deal.
If you're driving, check on parking costs at these hotels. They got a great deal on the room but parking is $20 a night.

Also consider the Oakes Hotel... its right next door to the casino and has lots of discount packages... if you want a suites chain there's the Embassy Suites...also right next to the casino.... I would check all three for deals...especially in the winter season...

We spent last weekend at the Oakes and LOVED it. We had a great view of both falls and enjoyed the fireworks outside our window one night. The location is nearly perfect. Highly recommend the Oakes!
