Driving from Vancouver to Victoria

Will be in Vancouver in July. Have rented a convertible! Need suggestions on whether to drive to Vancouver Island and to Victoria or to take the ferry. Should we take car on ferry and then drive or leave car behind?

Driving to Vancouver Island without using the ferry requires more than a convertible. Submarine, maybe.
Take the car on the ferry, you will enjoy having it on the island.

If you want to take your car to Vancouver Island, there is only one way: take the ferry. (Unless of course you have the folding green to have it loaded onto an airplane and flown over.)
The bridge is still in the very early planning stages.
Bring the car over on the ferry, but be sure you know how to put the top up in a hurry. Coastal weather can change fast.
