Is it safe driving at night there , between LL and Banff?

Wildlife is most active at dawn and dusk, so be extra watchful.

Otherwise it's fine.

Can't stress that enough - very safe, just have to drive a bit slower than you would during the day and keep a really close eye out for deer (last time I did that drive, I saw HUNDREDS of them - very cool)

I recommend to avoid driving at night especially during fall. As Judy stated - lot's of elks are crossing the roads.
