Downtown Vancouver Hotels

This coming May, we will be visiting Vancouver for the first time. It would be greatly appreciated to receive recommendations regarding Vancouver centrally located-downtown hotels. Our rate range would be $200+ and if the hotel could offer "a room with a view" that would be a great bonus feature,

The prices are a bit depending on what is going on at the time. http://www.infovancouver.com/places-...the-best.views

Giuseppa you have the advantage of your US $ being worth one third more than Cdn dollars. Depending on your dates there are a few decent places to stay in this expensive city. If you want a view you can try the Pinnacle Harbourfront. Have a look on booking.com. Also Blu in Yaletown and Georgian Court near BC Place, no view though.

Sundriedtopepo we thank you very much for your helpful information. I don't usually use a third party booking so I will check the hotels you mentioned in your posting. Tom Fuller thank you for the very useful website. I will check the hotels that are listed.

Sundriedtopeop thanks for the great "tip" regarding the value of the US dollar to the Canadian dollar. I will be passing this info onto my better half when he "cringes" at the hotel rates!

I don't book through third parties either but use booking.com for research then go to the hotel website. There are some cheaper options available just depends what you like.

Try the St. Regis Hotel. No view, but it's an excellent hotel in the downtown area and the train is literally 50 feet from its doorstep. Rates are reasonable.

I live in Vancouver and my absolute fave hotel is the Fairmont Pacific Rim. However, I imagine it may be above your budget. I would call and ask for any current promotions. The exchange rate with your strong US $ will help!
