Dining in Lake Louise
Any less expensive, but good places to dine right in Lake Louise without driving to Banff- besides the Post Hotel??
|
I can't remember the names but there was a family type restaurant across from the Lake Louise plaza area (where Laggins, etc. is) and also a family-type restaurant on the second floor of the plaza. We also ate at the Station (I think it is called)--it was more of a fine dining menu, but very good. I can't remember any other places to eat there except the ones at the hotels.

We ate at a restaurant right near the Alpine Center (I think that is what it was called), it was called Bill Peyto's. I got a wrap there for lunch with a salad and it was less than $10 CAD.

I second Marlena's suggestion. Yes, there is a restaurant connected to the hostel that is very good with large portions, reasonable, and open to the public.

Between the Post Hotel and Banff-on the "old" HWY, is a place called....let me think, Baker Creek Bistro-it's along the Bow Valley Parkway-closer to Lake Louiose. GO THERE!!!! It's a beautiful drive in the morning or early evening when there is all kinds of wildlife to see-and then the restaurant. My favorite meal of the whole trip-and we ate at the Post Hotel, Lake Louise fondue room, the Station and places in Banff.
I had a mushroom tortellini that I'll never forget!!! I am totally jealous. More questions-just ask.... |
