Customs declaration - Visiting farm within 14 days of entry

I understand that on entering Canada you need to declare if you will be visiting a farm within 14 days.

We will be as we have booked B&B at a homestead in SK. So what will happen at Customs at YEG after we tick the box? Questions about being on a farm in UK, inspection of boots or what?

You will be likely be referred to a Canada Food Inspection Agency inspector to confirm the details of your travel.

Here's more information from CFIA

I recall the question is something like have you visited a farm in the last 14 days and are you planning to visit a farm in Canada. I just had to answer that a couple weeks ago on my form. So if you haven't visited a farm in the last 14 days before you come to Canada, you probably won't be asked anything or have to do anything about that. I looked at the question carefully as I had visited a farm in Argentina during my trip, but I had no plans to visit a farm in Canada in the next 14 days.

The last time I filled it out, there were two separate declarations:

I/we will be visiting a farm or a farm show in Canada within the next 14 days.

I/we have been on a farm in a country other than Canada during the last 14 days.

Answering yes to one of the statements might get you a few questions at the counter, answering yes to both of the statements will get you "checked out".

Lately I have been asked a lot of weird questions when travelling alone. Some examples:
Do you live alone?
Are you married?

oops...posted by mistake b/f I finished...
What are these questions all about? I have never been asked such weird questions by US Customs when I am leaving Toronto.
He also asked me if I travelled alone the last time I went to the US.
