Cross-Country Ski Cabins [?]

OK everybody, need some help here-- a long time ago, when I was little and dreaming while looking thru Modern Bride and Bride's magazines :"> I came across a resort in Canada that was basically comprised of a series of small to mid-sized cabins on a trail, and one could cross-country ski to each cabin, and, I thought, end up at the final destination eventually, which was the largest of the bunch. I thought it was the coolest idea for a honeymoon - getting a good workout while being incredibly romantic & fresh. Does this place exist? Did it ever?? haha - Thanx! No wedding yet, but I get a feeling.... :x and I want something to work with

Sorry - I've never heard of it...

I believe there are setups like this in the Eastern Townships in Quebec

A quick google only brought up this site for Minnesota
http://www.boundarycountry.com/lodge-ski.html
The big one in BC that used an old rail line for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing in winter was burned out with forest fires taking out the old trestles a couple of years ago. I heard big dollars were to be spent rebuilding, but I can't find an eta.

I sincerely hope the groom is "something you can work with".

This isn't exactly what you describe but the lodge is certainly perfect for a honeymoon and you ski into it. Here is the website http://www.lakeohara.com/

Thanx everyone! Really appreciate all the input & we'll check out all of these. The MN property sounds cool. Nice that it's right here in the states too...

btw, icithecat, he's definitely 'workable'~ that part's a given...
