The airport taxis all take credit cards. To my house (just east of downtown), it's anywhere from $40 to $46 (even though it's supposed to be flat rate, the rate seems to vary).

Big fancy comfortable buses are around $15-20 to the main hotels; much cheaper for one person, no bargain if there are three of you travelling together.

If you do decide to take a taxi, make sure that you're standing in the taxi line-up and not the limo line-up (they're beside each other, and sometimes if the taxi line-up is empty the limo line-up cars will try to coax you over. The cars are virtually identical (town cars, rather than regular taxis), but for some reason, the cars in the limo line-up get away with charging about $10 more.

You can find out exactly what the fare should be for a given location by going to the airport web site GTAA.com and selecting "getting here". Limos cost a bit more and are easier to find. Most of downtown by limo is $47 or $5 less if you can find a taxi.
