Corporate Apartments/ The Grand Hotel and Suites

Hi everybody!
We're planning on visiting Canada this summer and would like to stay at an apartment style building. The Grand Hotel and Suites seems like it's the best because it also provides shuttle service in addition to its other services.Any feedback please? And is that area the best place to stay or is it dangerous because it's the heart of downtown? Thanks!

Assuming youmean The Grand in Toronto on Jarvis Street, it's a neighborhood that is generally safe, as is all of downtown Toronto.

Take a cab back to the hotel after 11 pm, perhaps, but you'll be safe enough at any time.

It's not the best part of town, but you can get from the hotel to lots of interesting places, it is convenient, and apparently the rates are reasonable.

It's a converted office building, by the way.

The Grand Suites Hotel is very nice but it's not my favourite part of town. Try the Bay/Bloor Executive Suites which is located about 2 blocks from Bloor St. It is also closer to subway access. There are also the Del Suites which is part of Tridel, a large condo developer. They are in various parts of the city including downtown.
