Construction on Rue St Paul in Montreal

Help...I just read there is construction on Rue St. Paul in Montreal that has the area torn up and has been going on for about a year. Does anyone know if this is in the Vieux Montreal area? We will be staying at Auberge Les Passants Soucy and now worry about the constuction(we'll deal but...). We once got off the vaporetto in Venice to walk to our hotel. I spied an enormous crane and realized it was parked smack dab in the front of our "view" room.

There is no construction on St. Paul. Construction is on McGill St., many blocks east of Passants du Sans Soucy.

Paul is right, McGill is the street that is torn up !!
You'll be fine where you are.
Everywhere you'll want to go is east of McGill so you'll have no problem.
