Christmas in Victoria

My family will be in Victoria for Christmas eve and Christmas day. I have two children 14 and 10. Do you have any recomendations for places to have dinner Christmas eve and brunch or dinner on Christmas Day?

Contact the Victoria information center. They will tell which restaurants are open those days.

Try posting on www.chowhound.com there are some very knowledgeable posters from Victoria there who'd be happy to help-never any shortage of opinion.

All the larger hotels will have Xmas buffets. Some are quite elaborate and deservedly famous such as those at the Empress while others are more basic such as that at the Dominion Hotel. Christmas Eve dinners are less common and I would guess only the hotel restaurants would be open and of course the ubiquitous Chinese restaurants which are nowhere near as good or numerous as in Vancouver.

Check out the Oak Bay Beach Hotel situated on the water. Each year they offer a Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day Brunch.
