Centrally Located Hotel in Toronto

Hi, We are looking for a centrally located hotel in Toronto. Our interests are Shopping, Chinatown, Little italy, The Distillery District, Markets, Church and Wellesley. We would like to be able to spend around 200 us dollars per room.
Thanks

Try the Strathcona Hotel, the downtown Novatel on the Esplanade, or the Quality Inn (formerly Holiday Inn) on Bloor at Spadina, near University of Toronto.

I booked the Hilton (Richmond Street West) through HOTWIRE for $75 USD per night. I leave Thursday morning for 4 nights.

Sometimes it's hard to keep track of hotel names; The hotel at Bloor and St. George (near Spadina) is a Holiday Inn. I just called it and checked.

Toronto is full of centrally located hotels. Whether you have a car makes a bit of a difference in parking convenience, and going to see interesting places.

The subeay system (TTC for Toronto Transit Commission) gets you easily to most of the interesting places.

Read through the other Toronto thereads for lots on info on various hotels. The best area to stay has Bloor Street (or a few blocks north of Bloor) as the north border, Jarvis on the east, Sp[adina on the west, and, during good whether, the lake on the south.

From mid-October, Front Street makes a better southern edge to the district.

Priceline gets raves for low prices, too.

Honestly, I just can't keep those hotels straight! I've now just taken to saying 'that one on the corner of Yorkville and Avenue Road'!

Thank-you for the info.
