central booking for Salt Spring?
 

I noticed that on earlier postings that suggestions were made for possible B&Bs on Salt Spring Island. We'll not know until we are in the area if we'll have the time to stay overnight there. Qustion #1: Is there a visitors center or central booking we can check with the day of arrival? Question #2: If the island is full up, does anyone know of a clean, inexpensive place close to the ferry just over on Vancouver island? thanks.

I'm not aware of any central booking service for Salt Spring Island. However, in answer to your next question - the Quality Inn Waddling Dog is a nice place (I don't know if I'd call it truly inexpensive, but the rates aren't bad) just off the main highway not far from Swartz Bay where the ferry docks. There are another couple of places I've seen - I'm going to hunt around on the Net and see if I can find a little more specific info for you.

OK - found what I was looking for. It's called the Cherry Bend Motel, and it's not far from the ferry dock and a bit cheaper than the Waddling Dog. They have a website - I think it's cherrybendmotel.bc.ca or something like that.
