Interesting, Linda. I am headed back to Canada in a couple of weeks and will certainly make a point of visiting Pier 21. Thank you for posting.

Pier 21 does look interesting. Check out the public's votes for top spots for additional ones in the Maritimes.

Pier 21 is fascinating. My father actually arrived there in 1956 after fleeing Hungary during the Revolution, so for me, it was particularly special, but everyone can enjoy it.

I did, Linda. We will be staying on PEI for several days at the Dalvay by the Sea resort so I should be able to bike the Confederation Trail and hike Cavendish Beach. Then we go to the Annapolis Royal area. With luck we will have a good opportunity to enjoy many of the wonders of the Maritimes! Thank you for the link.

I'm just glad that the Sleeping Giant didn't make the top 7. The wonder is that everyone in Tbay must have voted for it...

Alberta also has the Rocky Mountains, foothills and the boreal forest, as well as badlands etc.

Even Saskatchewan, the true land of the Living Skies, is less than 50% prairie.

I was disappointed that they voted for the "generic" Rocky Mountains rather than the Icefield Parkway, which has got to be the most spectacular drive in all of Canada.

cmcfong, yes I'll do a trip report, but don't know what I'll be seeing.
I'm visiting friends and don't know what they have planned. It will be a surprise trip..

A few years ago I went camping with these same friends, 3 hours drive north of Prince Albert , Sask. So I know what Borealis means about Sask being less than 50% prairie.
The land up there had lots of trees, and we camped by a beautiful lake.
But what I remember most was that it got light at about 3 in the morning and stayed light til 11 PM or later.

cmcfong, have fun In Nova Scotia. ( Am I right?)

You are right, kodi. I am going to Nova Scotia and PEI.
I have a very romantic view of Alberta. I have visited the Icefields parkway and the general Rockies area, a wonder indeed. There is so much more of Alberta and Saskatchewan to see. Maybe next trip!

Cmcfong, I haven't been to Nova Scotia and PEI.. so I'll look forward to your trip report!
I will get there someday. It's a part of the country I really want to see.

Have a great time.

I am amazed that Thrifty Car hire in Vancouver wasn't on the list. Based on the service I experienced it is one of Canada's wonders that they do actually still exist!
