Cape Breton, --Places to find music
 

We will be traveling in Nova Scotia between July 11th and 21st spending most of the first week in Cape Breton before moving on to Halifax, Lunenburg and family hometown of Wolfville. Any suggestions for catching musical events? Already have reserved tickets for Men of the Deeps in Glace Bay for the 15th.

Antigonish's Silver Glen Resort has a beautiful venue in a renovated old barn atop a hill overlooking the water. Host to a variety of musical and theatre performances as well as having a small dining area. Check out their website at www.silverglenresort.com You may want to check often to see if they have added any performances.

You can go to the website www.cbchoices.com and it will tell you all the entertainment going on in every community in Cape Breton. There is something every night at the Louisbourg Playhouse in Louisbourg. During the week it is a set performance called Spirit of the Island. On the weekends there are special guest performers.

The Normaway Inn has nightly music beginning July 1. It is in one of the Margaree towns. Also, an Irish band plays at Paddy's Pub on Main St. in Wolfville on Sunday nights.
